What is Schools Plus?
Schools Plus is a national programme aimed at tackling educational inequality through tutoring for school pupils.
From Engineering to English, Coding to Music Tech, Physics to Psychology, you choose what you want to tutor, there's something for everyone!
What is the role?
  • Work as a tutor for 1 hour a week in a subject area of your interest.
  • Attend weekly tutoring sessions and lead or support students depending on the project you pick.
  • Projects are across London so if you are commuting to Kingston you might find an opportunity nearer home too!
    ** All travel expenses are reimbursed.**
What will you gain?

  • Gain invaluable leadership and communication skills
  • Make a real difference to pupil's lives
  • Gain value first hand experience that will look great on your CV!
  • Gain teaching and tutoring experience.
What are the next steps?
  1. Fill in this application form telling us why you’d like to be involved.
  2. Attend a short informal selection workshop.
  3. Complete 2 hour induction training.
  4. Spend 1 hour a week November - December making an impact, developing skills and experience, meeting new people and having fun!
  5. Receive a certificate at the end of the programme.

By taking part you are also eligible for Kingston Award points for volunteering.
