What is the Future Leaders Programme?
The Future Leaders Programme is a development programme for Level 5 & 6 Kingston University students, geared at preparing them to apply for third sector (Charity & Social Impact) graduate schemes, focusing on but not limited to:
The programme will kick off in January 2019 and, working in partnership with Kingston Hub and Worthwhile, will provide numerous opportunities for personal and professional development for individuals taking part. Including opportunities such as:
Being matched with an alumni mentor from the Worthwhile graduate scheme.
Working on projects for the graduate schemes e.g. short research projects.
Access to networking events facilitated by Worthwhile.
Volunteering opportunities or internships with Kingston Hub.
Leadership roles in Kingston Hub’s social action programmes.
Graduate application support.
Following on from these development opportunities we will provide tailored support for you during the application and interview stages for the graduate scheme you decide to apply to.
The programme's duration is for the length of Term 2, however it has flexibility to carry on through Easter holidays and Summer Term if required.
Am I eligible?
We aren’t looking for individuals with loads of specific experience. What we are looking for is motivation and potential for tackling the challenges our society faces.
To join the cohort you must:
Be a Level 5 or 6 current undergraduate student, from any discipline.
Have previously, are currently or be available to, participate in one of Kingston Hub’s social action programmes. (There is still time to apply and get involved with any of the programmes listed here.
Apply to this programme through the application form (Applications close 23rd November).
We will shortlist applicants during the week of 26th and invite successful applicants to interview.
You will be invited to attend a short interview in early December 2018.
If you are successful at interview stage you will be invited to join the cohort and receive a Welcome pack to prepare you ahead of the programme kicking off in January 2019.
Programme begins first week of Term 2 (7th January).
